This website is now in a good state

A brief comment about this website and my experience with it

Was it worth the effort? Totally, because I learned something new.

And I should stop using articles for microblogging like if this was X (insert mandatory “formerly Twitter” here) or something. This will be my attempt of writing something longer despite my poor choice of words. Maybe doing so will help me get some experience.

Thoughts about making this website

My motivation behind making a website was initially to make a fancy presentation about myself. I have an unconscious self discouragement when it comes to pursuing work (which worsened after my first job, for reasons), so I imagined that a place for talking about work and opening myself up would help me with it.

The intention was to leave this website in a good state until January 7th (my birthday, not coincidentally), and in fact it was uploaded that same day. But due to perfectionism, I would keep searching for flaws both in its structure and my wording for days. Not only that, but with time I would learn about more and more things that could be done with it.

We have our ol’good HTML + CSS, which I had an idea of how to use thanks to freeCodeCamp. Playing around with a template led me to the most popular CSS framework in the world. And of course I would spend my time to explore most of its potential.

I have the common fear of saying something stupid, the same one that makes people edit messages to change a word or two, seconds after sending. Any piece of text you may have read in this website some time ago could be slightly changed now. As time passed, I would rewrite pieces in every page, even some articles. Maybe even this one.

Wrapping up

If you’re not a tl;dr reader and have reached this point, I would like to apologize if something didn’t make sense. I swear I’m trying.

Should I end working on a bigger project, there will be probably some articles about it here in the future.
